The Metropolitan Interstate Council (MIC), a division of the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC), and the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Duluth (MN) – Superior (WI) urban area, has an opening for a planner to develop transportation/land use studies for the MPO area. Responsibilities include working with representatives from area jurisdictions in a planning process, gathering, analyzing and interpreting data, report preparation and giving presentations to MPO Boards and Committees.
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Planning or a related field. Master’s degree and/or two years of professional experience in planning desired. Sound technical skills and a basic knowledge of GIS preferred. Position requires solid skills in written and oral communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
