| What is Access Management?
| Access management is concerned with more than the spacing of driveways and intersections. It is also considers turning patterns along a roadway, the placement of traffic signals and circulation of traffic in areas adjacent to the roadway. |
| Why Manage Accesses?
| Simply put, managing access makes a roadway safer and more efficient. And developing an access management plan means that current travel patterns are being studied, future patterns are being anticipated, and paractices are being identified that will best ensure the safety and capacity of a roadway will continue over time. |
