2011-2014 Duluth Urbanized Area TIP
The MIC annually develops, maintains and updates the Duluth Area Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in a process that begins in November and is completed in July.

The 2011-2014 TIP, upon its completion, will list all transportation projects for those 4 years that have been planned and programmed for federal funding within the Duluth area.

A complete timeline of steps in the development of the TIP is shown below.

Project Applications for FY 2014 Funding
The following project applications were submitted for consideration for federal TIP funding in 2014. They will be prioritized at the February 17 meeting of the MIC Policy Board, to be forwarded on to the Northeast Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership for further funding consideration.

Note that for this year the usual project scoring by TAC and MIC members will not take place. There are only 2 roadway projects, both of which are lead by MN/DOT. Because the Bong Bridge project is MN/DOT's top priority and is being coordinated with WISDOT, the MIC will submit these projects to the ATP in their order of local priority:

M-1 Hwy 2 Bong Bridge Repairs

M-2 I-35 Pavement Preservation

T-1 DTA Bus Purchase
